Festival goers can enjoy checking out what local businesses have going on at their Halloween-themed booths. There will also be a haunted house, pumpkin bowling and Scaryoke.
"It's a karaoke contest, but the contestants sing a Halloween-themed song," said Steve North, director of the Show Low Main Street.
North said this is only half of what people can expect to see when they come to the Spooktacular Festival. There will be human and pet Halloween costume contests, live music and delicious food, too.
"It gives them an opportunity for a safe place for their family to come out and celebrate Halloween," North said.
The Halloween festivities are not just for the people who live in Show Low and the surrounding areas. North said they do see people come to the event from Phoenix.
"It's an opportunity for us [Show Low Main Street] to bring more people downtown," North said. "Make them aware of what's going on down here and introduce them to the downtown merchants, which of course boosts the economy."
The Spooktacular Festival will go from noon to 8 p.m. and admission into the event is free. For more information visit www.showlowmainstreet.org.
