Due to early reports of bad weather on the way, we've rescheduled our next commercial shoot for Monday at 1pm. Hope to see you all there for a taste of what the Market's going to be like!
Local artist Cynthia Zadick and sponsor Jill Tinkel are ready to fill up their bags with goodies as they toast the coming of the Market with Jill's fresh cookies! Cynthia won one month free vending at the Market in our Sponsored Vendor Booth Contest, courtesy of State Farm Insurance, Jill Tinkel office. Those bags hold a LOT, and will be complimentary at Cynthia's booth--stop by S5 to get one!
The White Mountain Independent printed an article on the Market and our second contest winner, JoBeth Sexton in the Friday edition, and then the article made it to the front page of WMICentral.com under "top stories" today! Congratulations to JoBeth, and thanks to the Independent for spreading the word about the Market! Torreon has chosen local grower Jeremy Edwards as the winner of their Sponsored Booth!
Sonoran Lifestyle Realtor for Torreon (and Show Low Main Street Farmers' Market & Art Walk fan) Candi Williams and Torreon Clubhouse Chef Eduardo Mata are also looking forward to the fresh, locally grown produce Jeremy, his wife Terri and other local growers will be producing for the Market.
Jeremy grew up on a farm and is a wealth of information on growing plants and produce in the White Mountains. He and wife Terri will be offering a wide variety of produce and even plant starts early in the season, so be sure to stop by booth number N10 to get your own garden growing! Torreon will also occasionally be offering samples of Chef Eduardo's delicious food at Jeremy's booth--often made with Market produce to give shoppers a taste of the best of the season's bounty and showcase the intense flavors possible with the freshest local ingredients! Jeremy thanked Torreon for choosing him as their sponsored booth contest winner, and is looking forward to a busy season at the Market.
